Two simple lcio programs which generate raw data to test the whole reconstruction chain. Geometry information is read in via GEAR, a demo GEAR xml file is in this directory. The output collection is named "TPCRawData" Usage: generateRawData gearfile.xml [outfile.slcio] outfile name is optional, default is TPCRawData.slcio Warning: Replaces the outfile without prompting you! To compile, just say "make" It should work if lcio and gear are installed correctly. $LCIO and $GEAR have to be set. There are demo Marlin steering file in examples/reconstruction_straight_tracks and reconstruction_curler. generateRawData creates straight tracks. The data is not very realistic, only event 0, 1, 2, and 11 reconstruct correctly with the HitTrackTopoFinderProcessor because the distribution on the pads is not correct in the other events (Hits are OK, but are not recognised as a track). generateRawData2 works with gear_tpc_proto_circular.xml, which is a circular geometry. The data is a curler which makes more than 3 loops within the TPC.
